My only advise to guys deciding to do this mod.... get used to backing in to parking spaces, or parking 2 feet from the curb.... now, so it isn't as hard to get used to when you put her on. It definatley changes the amount of clearance (totally worth it by the way) but takes some getting used to. Really easy to curb check it when pulling in if you aren't allready used to parking a mile away from the curb. It is hella durable though, I have curbed mine at least a hundred times now and it is still attached firmly without problems. The wife on the other hand...... she can take it to a whol nuvha levull, and manage to scrape the hell out if it without any effort at all. Oh well. Guess I gotta get another wife (just kidding)
Im with you totally, the first day i installed this hit a curb but since then i know how to park properly, when you have a feeling theres lot more room in front of you just stop and think later

bill, man you crack me up...
same here with mine as far as scrapes and hits..once you get used to driving and parking it will be fine. Ive had mine on for at least a year with no problems..at one time I hit a 55 gal rubbermaid trash can that had fallen off a pick up truck while driving on the interstate at 70mph. that thing hit so hard that i figured it had taken the whole thing out, but to my surprise it was not even
lose!!! i think those 20 bolts and 36 screws are doing their job...
thanks to you all out there for the business - no. 22 is going to Ken by next week....
I build these kits using a trim piece I custom fab and the OEM GT500 chin spoiler. the painted option is a $50 extra charge. The complete assembly "DELUXE" kit goes for about $260 shipped. You can also order the "STARTER" kit which is just the trim piece for about $70 shipped.
let me know if interested.
after Hector sent me the installation instructions for the deluxe and the starter kit, unless you have alot of time and superb fabrication skills, get the deluxe kit. I'm counting the days until mine arrives, I know it's gonna add about 40 rwhp, at least. $260 for a real GT500 splitter ? That's crazy.

PM if interested on a quote for your car.....
Hector, I was expecting a nice product, but this is way better than I even thought about. Your fabricating skills are tremendous. I got that thing out of the box and was amazed at how well it was put together. 4 days shipping from SC to Washington state, and cheap too, thanks for the help with the freight, that's a hella big box. Many, many thanks ! Now, I just need a day without 40 honey-do's to get it put on. I'll post updated picks Hector. Peace !

super awesome Ken...i think that is a record on delivery time...that is amazing that it took only 4 days....cant wait to see it on dude!!!
once you get the splitter up into place, it's very easy to install. I did tighten the bolts in a couple places too tight along the front and made the trim piece get a little wavy, but it was easy to loosen them a bit to get it all looking good. The crease in the trim piece made it very simple to line up on the fascia. And contrary to what I thought, it isn't too low. The actual splitter part isn't much lower than the POS pice of plastic Ford hangs on the bottom. When I lowered the car I purposely didn't do the front knowing I'd get some kind of accessory chin spoiler. But it really fills up the front end of the car. And the best thing about it is for right now, no one else has one. And it does look fine.

I didn't go for the deluxe since i got a super deal on the actual spoiler from the dealership. A few more steps but overall no more difficult than putting on the Roush wing or hood scoop.
the fourth pic doesnt show the chin spoiler but it was from the same photoshoot so i threw it in

the reason I ask I am a Ford dealer and can get the spoiler cheap. I have seen some other attempts to do this and they were not pretty. can you send me pics of just the kit or the instructions to see if this is something i can do. or just send me a pic of the complete unit by itself

If you are a ford dealer, then you have put a sticker on a car.... you are halfway there. If you are a guy, and have a car, then you have put a nut on a bolt and tightened it...... bingo! you are there.. Seriously, this is one of the coolest looking spoilers available for the s197 V6 model, and I think Hector should have gone into mass production, but you will find that if you do this... You will be one of very few that have the same spoiler, and it looks sick! Go to hectors page here he has a ton of customer ride photos (mine included) You will love it.
