the cai may have changed your airflow, but not enough to need a tune by itself. but when you also add the exhaust free flow, you changed it even more to the point that you need a tune to realign all the perameters to the correct settings. i also believe that if you get a tuner it will solve your problems. most cai's need a tune if they are going to make good improvements. there are a few that do not need a tune but would definitly benefit from one. if you take it to a speed shop and have them custom tune your computer, it should fix it or you can buy a tuner and get intouch with bamachips or some other tuner, they can write you a tune that will solve your problems. you may add one part at a time, but you need to realize the overall effect it will have with your pre-existing mods.

when u cut your exhaust pipes did you have your back pressure checked if ur O2 sensors not picking up enough back pressure from ur exhaust it is going to effect the majority of your sensors
lean codes, rich codes etc....

i still think it might be your plug wire order on the coil. mayb you already checked and i missed it but if your plugs are firing out of order its gonna cause a list of things to go wrong if u drive it like that.

first mod i did was cut the y pipe, went h and duals, if anything, it ran better. then i added the coil and wires, ran better. then the cai and tune and it ran even better. i never got a code till i got a custom tune running too rich. i`m with burnrubber, check your firing order again. make sure the wires are on the plugs good.check that the plugs are tight. have you disconnected the battery and let it sit? do you have a good tight seal on the hose that runs from the valve cover to your cai? did the dealer check the fuel pressure from your fuel pump? its probably something little that everyone is overlooking. interesting it happened after the exaust job.( that shouldnt change anything)

and 400 dollars later.... still throwing codes and now the code is for your PCM keep alive memory test error . if your air and fuel mixtures are not right your pcm will effect your system. thus starting with your o2 sensors they monitor the oxygen content of the exhaust gas stream.this content in the exhaust reacts with the oxygensensor to produce a voltage output wich varies from 0.1volt(high oxygen, lean mixture) to 0.9 volts(low oxygen, rich mixture). The PCM monitors this variable voltage output to determine the ratio of oxygen to fuel in the mix. The PCM alters the air/fuel mix by controlling the pulse width(open time) of the fuel injectors.14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel is the ideal mix for exhaust emissions, thus allowing the catalytic conv. to operate if the O2 sensor produces no voltage then iit is below normal operating temperature of about 600 degrees. (not enough back pressure in your exhaust) try changing your fuel filter.
