Alright guys i have a cold air intake and a catback exhaust on my 2006 v6 mustang. Noone and i mean noone has been able to figure out the problem not even ford themselves. My car is throwing the cel with codes p0340 and p0106. If i clear the codes they come back instantly. When i run a scan with key on engine running. I also get codes p0171 p0174 p2271 and some exhaust gas recirulation one. So far ive changed my plugs, wires, oil, fuel filter, and injectors my cam postion sensor and maf sensor. i did a leakage test and compression test When i start my car it idles rough usually around 550 rpm thats if it doesnt stall at first. When i drive it, it hesitates and feels like im pulling a boat. I lose power. can someone give me some insight on what do do
Seriously bro any help would be great ive spent 1200 and my car is still acting crazy i cant take it anymore.....
Lol, it's obviously not gonna be an easy question for us to answer if NOONE I MEAN NOONE has been able to figure it out....
Sorry, you're probably not in a joking mood at the moment...
You will definitely get some help here. My best word of advice is to put everything back to stock trim, or at least the CAI. Put the stock airbox back on and load the stock tune - If it's still throwing codes, then you REALLY have a problem.
also, you did take it back to the exhaust shop that did the car didnt you? i would have a bone to pick with them if it was me, i dont put up with crappy workmanship on my car

have u checked your IMRC (intake manifold rail control) any modular motor has it (just about). my 98 cobra just went through something about the exact same thing as you got going on. changed spark plugs several sets, several wire sets, and about 6 batteries, O2 sensors (4), idler arm, changed oil, flushed all fluids etc...
No theres no tune for the cai. Ive had it on for prolly 6 months the problem did not start until about 2 hours after i had my muffler cut off and a straight pipe put on.... I bought a new cam sensor from auto zone cause they were the only ones that sold it.....replaced it and it still didnt make a difference. now its also throwing a map sensor code/barometric pressure sensor i called ford and they said these cars dont have a map sensor. Well to my knowlege its built in with the egr vavle. My car runs like its got cams and i have a 302 from a 1971 mustang in it......i cant figure this out and its pissing me off and giving me a headache........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
If you're throwing codes for a bunch of different random things then it sounds more like a computer error than an actual part thats damaged.
Check the smart junction box behind the passenger side kick panel for any water damage as well as any wiring that may be damaged under the hood. Check connectors to make sure they're properly seated where they're supposed to be.
And for crying out loud get a tune for that intake before you start throwing lean codes as well.

Lol it already is throwing lean codes and rich codes. I already replaced the smart junction box cause it was waisted by water. Do u guys think when I added a straight pipe it through of my calibrations in the computer and if so next question is do I have to buy a tuner or can I just put a muffler back on and all should return back to normal?
you say that youve changed your plug wire sets. how do you have your wires arranged on the coil pack? should go 123 left to right on the side closest to the firewall...then 465 left to right on the "bottom" side of the coil. i know when i did mine i didnt know that( didnt pay attention to the stock wire set up) and pluged the bottom row in wrong...made it sound like a 302 with some big nasty cams. to help out....standing in front of your car...cylinder order goes 123 bottom to top on the left side...then 456 bottom to top on the right side. that is my first initial guess...next would be try out a tune.

if your cai has no tune, there is your problem, my car ran JUST like yours did when i put my cai in and my tune wasnt right. if you do actually have a tune, check to see if your MAFS is the right way

yeah my cai has no tune but the problems didnt start untill after i eliminated my muffler.......i know these pcms need to have the correct calibrations......i just dont understand how my muffler will throw a map sensor and cam position sensor........
