Default 2005+V6 Motor Oil to try

this company has been making oil since 1903. original richmond pa oil. they moved to a frorida refinery and still make fine oil. i used this racing oil in my 67, and my dad sold it for 45 yrs and its all we ever used. i was in a dead zone here and couldnt get it, but now there is a new online store. its a great price and free shipping and they just stocked our pro high performance 5w-30 synthetic-blend they sponsor some serious race cars. this is all i`ll ever use from now on. they do stock the pro high performance 5-20 for the v8`s too.
AmalieStore:: 5W-30 Amalie Pro High Performance Synthetic Blend (CASE), Motor Oil, 160-75666-56

im thinking of trying out synthetic. been using penzoil(its got some kind of wax in it that helps seal bearings on internals...protects better than most conventional...dunno if thats 100% but i heard it from a ford tech) anyways...iv got 26000mi on her now and all she has ever had is conventional motor oil. u think it would hurt to make the switch to full synthetic? im going back on my word here cuz i always thought it was bad tom ove from conventional to synthetic but do correct me if im wrong.

its not bad if you switch and do it.

just dont switch, then switch back a few thousand miles later then switch back again to a diff brand...

i use penzoil,my daddy uses penzoil, his daddy used penzoil.

from lawnmowers, to go karts, to stangs, trucks, and boats,... its all we have ever used, not one problem!

i change so much oil i get filters and oils at cost

i change it every 2000 miles ( with 3 daily drivers and 3 people who work far away its not hard to rack up. my dad drives 104 miles round trip all highway. )

The transformation has begun!

ive talked to some oil specialists, they will tell you unless your motor was designed for full synthetic, your better to stay with what the motor manufactuer recomends which is the blend for us. any name brand oil is gonna have good specs and be highly tested. its a competitive business. and in fact, more brands of oil than you can imagine come from the same refinerys in different bottles. this amalie is good stuff, and its about 1.00 less than valvoline per qt.w/free shipping. people get suck on a brand, myself included, but this is a good buy. they sponsor a dragster too among other cars.

Default Valvoline

I'm a Valvoline guy and have seen where they showed how they develop and test oil formulations. There is a difference in oil! I have Valvoline SynPower full synthetic in my Stang, great when the weather is cold. Valvoline now has a 300,000 mile guarantee if you change your oil every 3000 miles. Here in Holland all 5w30 is full synthetic. So i use Shell Ultra Extra 5w-30. Cost €15/liter. It is longlife oil for 30.000km The oil ford recommends is not available here. I change oil every 16.000km. Same story with my previous car a neon used valvoline 10W30, sold with 230.000km in good condition.
