Well I finally got my Pypes shorty headers installed. I know there is a lot of debate over whether or not shorties do anything, but i can guarantee you that they do make a difference. I haven't driven her much since the install, but I could feel a slight difference in throttle response. They make a nice appearance upgrade under the hood, they were a shiny stainless steel before, but after they heated up they turned a nice gold color...anything is better than the rusty stock manifold. The most noticable change is the sound. They didnt really make the car that much louder, but rather drastically changed the tone. With the Flowmaster axleback, it produces a nice deep rumble-at idle the floorboods actually shake, not excessively but its a nice touch. The cheapest set I could find was from Summit $242. I intended to install myself but gave in and had my Ford dealer do it-another $160. They ended up costing more than I wanted in the end, but I like 'em. Now im anxious to get a CAI and dual exhaust and really wake my baby up!
i noticed the same changes even with my ebay shortys. it was a great mod. that pretty gold will turn to gold, red, blue, and still shiny . i think they look awesome. congrads on your new mod

i have the bbk's shorty as well, loven it, flowmasters has a real nice sound to it, especially when you put the h-pipe in, then it really rumbles, get an h-pipe when you go dual, have a shop do it then spending alot on ordering it, h-pipe only cost me $45.00 bucks, hope this helps
