2007 Mustang V6-how much gear oil do i need

ok, so ive searched through a bit and havnt found anything on the subject, but im wondering how much gear oil i need to get. im going to be putting in a trac lok n 4.10s so i need to know how much oil to buy.

You need 3.2 pts. That includes the 4oz of friction modifier that you'll put in there.

i bought two bottles of royal purple from american muscle and it took about 1.5 of those bad boys, plus with the RP i do not beleive you need the friction modifier....at least i hope not!!!

i`m curious, what did your shop say that did the rearend? the book calls for synthetic gear oil, thats all that royal purple is( or does it have a additive?) and for t-lok it calls for the 4 oz.`s of friction modifier
