air box 2007 Mustang v6 ? anyone?

anyone have they want to sell off ? i dont see any in the classifieds.
i see them on ebay,but for the v8,i just need the air box and cover,not the hose that goes to the t.b
will the v8 box fit the v6, it looks the same.
just dont know about the hose fitting [v6 hose to v8 box?]

unless i`m mistaken, the tube is molded to the box. i`ll have to look tonight. what happened to yours?

i took it off months ago,and sold it for 25 bucks.
i rigged my own home made cold air contraption.
it works fine,but i just want to turn it back to stock again [well air box wise]
with everyone doing tunes and cai's,i figure someone should have 1 laying around the garage they want to get rid of for a couple bucks

no the hose isnt molded on,its clamped.

oh ya, i forgot it has that large hose clamp on it. hey did you put a wanted post in the classifieds? more people look through that than the v6tech probably. just a thought. i`m hangin on to my setup in case i ever sell it or something happens to the car. i`m sure you`ll find some one who doesnt want it.

thanx for your help guys, i just bought a new gt box from ebay. 30.00 bucks
i know the box is the same as the v6 , maybe the inlet hose might be bigger?? will make it fit with adapter,if i have to.
most of these kind of parts are interchangable anyway.

Um the inlet for the GT goes to a dual throttle body, so it's going to be a lot bigger at the TB end.

The MAF mounts on the side of the round tube connector.

If it's a different diameter than stock, your MAF will read incorrectly and your a/f will be off. Might throw a code too.

I believe the GT MAF housing is a little larger diameter than the V6 ones, but not 100% sure.

yes this i know,i was talking about where the tube meets the box.
i'm pretty sure that end is the same size!? we'll see.

The bottom boxes are the same. The top of the GT box has a larger diameter air outlet.

The MAF housing built into the GT lid IS larger. You could make it work with a custom tune, but it's not going to allow the MAF to read correctly with the factory Ford tune
