Default Will the computer adapt to a change in boost pulleys on its own?

Reason I ask is because I'm running an email tune and in the next week or two I'm going from 8 to 12 PSI of boost and installing a W/M system. I advised my tuner of this and asked for the tune to be modified accordingly but his response was that the current tune would handle it, just send him data logs afterwards to check things out. That gave me a little pause...

While I believe the computer could adapt to the extra air, how well or how fast it will do it is another question. I don't know how I feel about flooring it out on the highway to get a datalog when I know I'm throwing curve balls at the computer So I thought I'd get a 2nd opinion. Or 20 depending on how many responses I get. Any insights?

that seems sketchy
who is your tuner?
4 full pounds of boost is ALOT without proper tuning
i dont think it will cause in Serious, immediate problems but i wouldnt run like that on a daily driver.
ask STL he knows all
haha

I'm hesitant to directly name the tuner, I don't want to slander him...but I don't want to blow my motor either

Okay I had a more detailed talk with my tuner and it looks like, if it's tuned right as mine is, the computer WILL adapt to extra air over a wide range of boost without any need for further tuning. So I feel pretty safe now.

Was your car tuned on a dyno? If not, your taking a chance upping the boost on the old tune.
Timing will need to be adjusted with more boost... as well as A/F. (It's even more critical with a non-intercooled unit) Are you running a wideband? Do you have an analog out of your wideband to feed to your handheld for logging A/F.

A tune that'll adapt properly to a 50% boost increase on it's own? I'm dying to see how this turns out

If you were going from 6 to 8 I'd say yes... 8 to 12 is another story, even with the methanol.

I know how it sounds but the tune was created on another Vortech supercharged V6 Mustang and the guy ran the same tune from 7 PSI all the way up to 15 with no changes needed. And supposedly he would've run this tune on a 100 other Mustangs if not many more.
So he's either really sure of this or he's mentally unbalanced, I mean why ruin his business by deliberately making me blow my motor?

As he explained it if the tune has enough range programmed into it the MAF will keep adding fuel according to however much air is flowing in.
