Default 2006 Plastic Wheel Well liner

Hey guys, got a slight problem.

My plastic wheel well liner on my front right side has come loose and is able to be pushed back to hit the body. There are the two plastic rivvets there still and look ok, but can't figure out how it snaps or fits back on?

Annoying when you hear it clunking around at high speed periodically.

Any tips for fastening it back in place?

It's held in place by several screws and plastic pushpin retainers. The liner is actually in two pieces.

there are 8 fasteners holding the inner wheel well in place and ya, that would be a bummer having that loose. since thats your rt frt, its the perfect time to check the rubber grommit/wire harness that goes into the footwell of the passenger seat to make sure its seated good in the body. thats a huge water leak spot. its in about the middle of the rear of the wheel well. i removed my well just to check it out and make sure mine was in good.

You can buy at your local Ford dealer parts dept. I had to replace mine on my 2007. There pretty cheep to buy push pins they can pull it up on the computer just show them what part your missing.

Had to replace that on mine when my car was less than a year old. It was a good thing it got replaced under warranty. I had to jump in the car and show the idiots at the dealership what I was talking about after I had explained it to them in plain english. Now the driver's side just barely makes a sound here and there.

Are those pushpins the type with a small flat head on them that you use a small flat blade screw driver and pop the pin up a bit then remove the entire pushpin OR do they have a philips head on them and you give them like 1/4 turn to release the pin then pull the entire pushpin out?

To check that grommet, do both liners have to be removed? Can just one be removed?

thanks.............

the grommet that poses the water leak threat is on the passenger side, behind the plastic wheel well. there are like 3 types push pins on these cars( the screw center, a pin center and the flat heads) but i think all the push pins in the well are just the flat heads. you can get a screwdriver handle with a bent v notch tip for removing them. good tool to have since most of this car is put together with them cheap things.
