so i just stoped by my local muffler shop an he gave me a price of $200 to build me an x-pipe and driver side pipe wellded up and installed is this a good price price. how much would it cost me to for the driver side hangers for my exhaust an mufller
Newtakeoff.com has a duals setup for $299(which includes the GTmufflers and x-pipe), so I guess that the price is not too far off. New Take-Off - Mustang

that sounds like a good price. i live in cali where everything cost an arm and a leg but i found a guy to do mine for 250. he cut the bumper and everything.
also a factor is what mufflers you want. flowmaster and magnaflow are gonna be a bit cheaper, while FRPP Borla, MAC, Corsa are gonna be more expensive.
the cheapest rout is to grap a pair of GT take offs if you dont have the money to get some after market mufflers. alot of guys on this site love the gt take offs for a V6.
then you get into all the "clubs" lol.
there is the MAC boom tube club
SLP Loudmouth club
Borla/FRPP stinger club
MAC axle back club (i lvoe my MACS!!!!!!!!!!)
FRPP GTA muff club etc etc etc lol
id say watch youtube vids and as around to find what you like. if yo want loud save up your money and do your research so you are happy with the first item you purchase, and not the third lol
id say with the GT takeoffs your looking at about 300-325 with install.
then everything else varies. mine ended up costing about 550-600 with everything installed.

Thats a good price. What I would do instead of buying hangers is take the new muffler to the shop and have them custom make you a set of hangers. Should be cheaper, and I'm sure they will give you a deal to get the sale.

Has your mods had any impact on passing the smog test? I moved to CA a year or so ago, and had to take off my CAI because it made my check engine light come on...I havent done a chip tune yet, and was going to wait to put dual exhaust on until I left here. However, if I can do it and make it pass smog, I might just get it done soon.
i think the factory hangers are the best, the holes are allready there and both mufflers will hang the same. cost me 112.00 at the dealer for 2, to me it was worth it

i got mine done for 160, but that was without an x pipe, just straight pipes, so 200 sounds about spot on
