Default STS Turbo System for 07 v6

Hey I was feeling pretty power hungry yesterday surfing the web , and I found these squire turbo systems (STS) The one (I believe it's twin turbo) built specifically for the 05-09 v6 mustang is 4,995 with tuning, and the universal twin turbo kit starts at $2,745 with options that include: blow off valve kit - $300; PCV Kit-$150; Raw pipe, clamps, and silicone kit for $550; and twin snorkle kit for $100-120. I don't exactly know what all of that is but I would probably get it lol.

If I would happen to save up for this, and purchase this, do you think I should purchase the universal for 1,000 dollars cheaper, or get the one that is under the v6 mustang drop-down?

Also, the maximum boost that they offer for the v6 is 9 psi, which I think is good. If I happened to get that system, would I have to do anything else with my engine besides tune? Like I wouldn't have to spend thousands making the engine stronger or anything....would I?

http://www.ststurbo.com/universal_turbo_systems here's the link, if it works correctly it should be on the universal twin turbo page (if you scroll down) and on the left you should be able to click on one or two links to get you to the v6 mustang turbo system.

im sure if you run your mustang hard with 9 lbs of boost then i would do some engine work to make sure the $5,000 is a good long lasting investment

supersixmotorsports.com
Tom Morana Racing Engines

sells v6 internal parts you could look into

i would get a new drive shaft and rear end too

if you want more info on the sts turbo call stage3motorsports.com i was thinking about getting the sts turbo but i took a huge pay cut so im on hold for now but stage 3 had a bunch of info on the sts turbo and they have done several installs

I spoke with STS concerning the V6 turbo awhile ago. I was told that no engine modifications were necessary even with 9 PSI boost. I qualify that with the fact that I was not talking about any track use, we were strictly talking daily driving. If you do alot of track time, definitely look at beefing up the bottom end, drive shaft and rear end. Just my $0.02.

Later,

isnt the sts the system that replaces the muffler underneath at the rear of the car? I Hope You Dont Live Anyplace That You Get Lots of Rain Or Snow. Most Systems Are Running About 9lbs Even Supercharger kits are running That. All Except One, The x-charger, They Are Making The Same Kinds Of Power But With Only 6-7 lbs So No Need To Worry About The Pressure, And Its Something You Can Do yourself.

i was looking at the sts a while back, but ended up not getting it because everyone i talked to (talked to a lot of people) said the components of the sts system are poorly made and tend to have pressure leaks and oil leaks, due to it being a rear mount system.

If you have a good shop install it, you will probably not encounter problems though.
