Default RPM Sensor Light

The red RPM warning light on my 2005 has been on for awhile but it isn't due to any motor related issues that I am aware of. Is there a simple way to try and reset the sensor? By the way, I'm not very mechanically inclined so lets keep it simple please.

There is an RPM warning light? Huh. Try disconnecting the battery for several minutes.

you can get a cheap code reader that will read and clear it or most auto parts stores will do it for you too. if it comes back on though, you`ll have to look into whats happening.
