Default Rookie question about headers

I bought and installed ford racing dual exhaust and was wondering if these headers would work with my ford racing exhaust??

Yes those should work. Shorty headers replace your stock ones before the cat converters. And in the 05+ stangs to little to nothing. But they do look better though.
But do wait for someone with more experience to reply

get some longtubes and either an off road or catted X or H pipe. H pipe gives better sound X gives a little more power. Shorty headers flow about the same as stock. Im from Illinois and just recently made the move to Arizona so I can tell you that you can pretty easily get past emissions with a good tune and an O/R midpipe.

Wouldn't long tube require modification to be done to his current exhaust system? For one removal of the cat converters ?

Long tubes would reqire a new midpipe. Those shorties will bolt right up.

Those Headers for your V6 would be perfect. Easy bolt-ons, if you can afford it spend the extra $100 & get the Ceramic coating. Better HP, Won't change colors, Won't rust, Engine Bay will be a little cooler.

Oh yeah, get some Stage8 locking bolts. Best $40 I've spent on my stang. You'll never have a bolt back out and blow a Header Gasket.

Stage 8 Locking Header Bolt Kits - SummitRacing.com

P.S. Sorry for spending your money. I've been there and done that, & sometimes that extra $150.00 goes a long way. Good Luck!!!

those headers will work great. i put some cheap ebay shorties on mine, stainless.( $115.00) i did not remove the head studs and used the factory nuts, though i`m gonna buy some stainless nuts when i get around to it just cause the factories are rusty. the head studs dont rust. its a pretty easy install, mostly from above but it was easier to deal with a couple of the cat bolts from below with a extension. the oil dipstick tube will pull out to get out of the way. i had to buy a longer bolt for the dip stick tube to remount it over the 3/8" flange. if you remove all 4 cat nuts, you can work the cast manifolds loose without having to cut off the manifold studs. i havent had any problems with the studs, nuts or gaskets and i dont mind the colors that the tubes turn. your not gonna feel any big gains, but they will flow better than the cast iron and look good. they are a nice mod.

Yea I have the ones you're considering, and I noticed a sound difference which of course translated to power in the butt dyno. Of course I'm sure it didn't add much power. They sure do look good though.
