Need advice on shocks for use with lowering springs

Need advice on shocks for use with lowering springs.

I have a 2005 V6 with 17'" GT Wheels and Tires and just purchased a set of rear lowering springs - 1.2 inch drop. (close up the wheel gap)

Could I run a set of GT take off rear shocks in combination with this or do I need to go with something specifically designed for a lowered car?

Not looking for ultra high performance shocks.

You could run the shocks that are on there or the GTs. Either would work fine.

I kept my stock struts/dampers with the Ford Racing lowering springs. They are just starting to go after about a year and a half with the lowered springs. The Ford Racing dampers/struts were a little pricey at the time. When I do replace them I may go to the FRPP ones.

if your not looking for performance and what not then yes they would work just fine and also you wouldnt have to worry about rubbing since the wheels aren't huge.
