I have JLT CAI, How often should I clean the filter, and how do I clean it?
also... what is the best product to use to clean the inside of my windshield? Most products leave a light smokey film behind

get the i use the K&N filter recharge kit ( since everything else has a k&N in it.
basically u spray the cleaner on, run through water, then let air dry
then spray the oil on let it sit, then respray any white spots, let air dry then put on your car and your good to go....
i use good fashioned windex.
i tried a billy Mays product on my windshield and mirrors...but no rain yet

the jlt has a powerstack 4"x9" filter. if you have a red one, the k&n recharge kit will work. if you have a blue one, you can get the kit from jlt( it will be a s&b kit) or the company that makes the filters is s&b filters. the s&b recharge kits are bigger than the k&n and a little cheaper too. first blow the dirt off with air if you have air. when you spray on the cleaner and hose it off, it takes about 2 days to dry good. thats why i went with a extra filter so i always have a clean one on hand. ( about 50.00) ive been going about 3 months, when it looks real dry and dull and or dirty. the k&n instructions are a joke, the proper way to recharge is in this post i wrote: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...t-walmart.html

lol last manufacture of a certin product is in the prosees of trying to screw me over.... to bad im in the prosess of screwing them over.
i just dont think oil weight is that important, extra oil will evaporate, thats why you gotta let it dry fully, dont wanna get that on your MAFS
i know 05, its a dogy dog situation your caught up in and i`m sensing your slightly bitter right now. 48 grams is a pretty good amount of oil and it doesnt dry much untill you put it on the car and start sucking air through it. none the less, you shouldnt put air in your tires and just kick them to tell how much is in there either, same situation. too much is not good, to little is no good either. i changed spark plugs for over 35 years without a torque wrench too, but thats the right way to do them, and i use one now. it never hurts to know the right way to do something, whether you do it that way or not. i have a k&n cleaning kit and what you said is whats on their package. the s&b recharge kit says not to use the spray oil without a scale. they do make a applicator kit if you want to oil one line at a time but k&n does not offer that applicator( as far as i know). i`d much rather use the spray oil. but you dont have to take my word on this you can call s&b @ 800-358-2639 or 909-947-0015 or look it up online
