Any turbo suggestions?

Well I finally ordered my turbo and I am awaiting it's arrival and getting it put on. My set up as of now is a bolt up STS turbo kit with the intercooler upgrade, 39 pound injectors, a water methanol kit, and a custom tune with the SCT X3. I have done no motor work right now and was wondering how much boost to throw at the stock motor.? Another question I had was if I got the head studs from supersix how much more boost could I throw at the motor?

hey sorry i'm not offering like help or anything. I just wanted to know if you got the 5 grand system or the cheaper systems. Also when you get it done can you post a thread about how you like it or post a vid....b/c i was contemplating saving for some kind of turbo but i didn't know because I didn't really find much s197 v6's with turbo (besides videos of ones running an outrageous 17 psi, etc)

Just get a supercharger..

I would say about 12psi.

xchris ran a Powerhouse turbo on his car at 8psi and made 330rwhp and like 380rwtq, but he's also been through 2 motors in under 2 years.

I don't think turbos are good for the 4.0, it seems that they like to eat motors a lot more than superchargers. It's also worth noting that there are a lot more supercharged 4.0's than turbo'd.

That is true. Though I thought that turbos are easier on the motor?

DO NOT run more than 10 lbs.
these motors really cant hold to much but even 9 or 8 lbs is a ton! get you plenty of smiles and smoking tires
