Default Boost pressure on stock motor?
i just wanted to know how much i can boost with a stock 4.0 motor

Performance Mods: 93 Performance Diablo Tune, Gt-take-off muffler, K&N Drop-in, H&R Lowering Springs.

Outside Mods: Gt-take-off wheels, 12K H.I.D kit, AM Black-out Panel.

FUTURE MODS: 4.10's, FRPP T-Lock, C&L Intake, Bama 93 RT, Under-Drive Pulley, and alot more to think of.

I'm at 10-11psi with my setup.

Depends on the tune, I guess.

10 is the advertised max for the vortech system, i would stay under it just for insurance.

10 seems to be saf enough. especially with the new x-c extreme intercooled x charger which is supposed to be out soon, cough supposed to be out this past spring cough, youll be fine. but stick with the supplied tune. iv seen others drop cylinders with 10lbs on a custom tune. theyre touchy. run air/fuel guage

My buddy seth has a 05+ V6 Vortech I/C setup at 8lbs.. Justin at VMP Tuning has his Wifes V6 same setup as my boy seth- at 14lbs and 400rwhp and its been fine.. Who knows though, when i boost my GT it will be 8-10lbs max on a Vortech V3.
