2005 V6 with Procharger automatic transmission question I just got my 2005 V6 automatic Mustang back from the shop after having a Procharger Stage II installed. The performance is awesome. 350 HP at the flywheel and 280 HP to the rear wheels. Being new to supercharged engines, I don't really know what to expect from the retuning. The transmission was tuned to a more aggressive shift pattern. I've noticed a few things. It is slow to shift into reverse and when it does, it hits pretty hard. (This may be normal, but I'd like to know if anyone else has seen this.) Tonight I accelerated hard and it seemed to miss a shift, or at least it did not sound right. The "wrench" light came on and stayed on until I shut off the engine. On restart, the light went out and the transmission seemed to shift ok, although I did not push it again.
Is it possible that the retune (on the transmission) is too aggressive? It will get rubber dropping into 3rd gear. Any advice on what is safe? (Meaning - I don't want to replace the transmission in a week) |
