Default 2007 V6 Pony Exhaust Popping/ Rattle when car is cold

Okay, so when the car is cold the exhaust will pop and rattle almost like a rich sounding condition from a Turbo car. Once the car is warm it goes away.

This is very very annoying as I would have to wait 5 minutes everytime I hop in my car to avoid makeing rattling noises going down the street.

So starting up the car, and waiting a few seconds for oil pressure , I can throw a less then 4000 rev and it will pop and sound like Rocks hitting the muffler.

Its a FlowMaster muffler and all connections were checked by Ford a few months ago.

Am I running overly rich at startup? once the car is warm and the fuel maps go to normal then the sound goes away.

Am I losing power by lack of ignition, improper detonation unburned fuel getting into the exhaust???

Sounds to me like a normal cold startup sound with Flowmasters. Is the car custom tuned?

My car does the exact same thing, but it hasn't bothered me too much. Do you have the american thunder exhaust?

so no on a custom tune and it is a single muffler. It did it with the stock muffler as well.

Too much fuel getting in the exhaust and igniting??
