2007 V6 Pony Exhaust Popping/ Rattle when car is cold Okay, so when the car is cold the exhaust will pop and rattle almost like a rich sounding condition from a Turbo car. Once the car is warm it goes away.
This is very very annoying as I would have to wait 5 minutes everytime I hop in my car to avoid makeing rattling noises going down the street.
So starting up the car, and waiting a few seconds for oil pressure , I can throw a less then 4000 rev and it will pop and sound like Rocks hitting the muffler.
Its a FlowMaster muffler and all connections were checked by Ford a few months ago.
Am I running overly rich at startup? once the car is warm and the fuel maps go to normal then the sound goes away.
Am I losing power by lack of ignition, improper detonation unburned fuel getting into the exhaust??? |
