Default Buying motive 4.10 gears. Do I need to buy bearing kit?

I have a V6 2006 with 28,500 miles. Do I need to buy the bearing kit or should I be okay without it? What gear oil should I buy..75w140 or 75w90?

Hmm, so you're 100% sure I need to buy it. I was just wondering because if I can save $75 that be great.

He won't need the friction modifier since he has an open differential.

I would never do a gear swap and leave the old bearings in there.

Also, I have heard that you will also need a new posi differential or you will just have a one tire fire.
