Default 05 v6 strange starting issue

OK, Lets see if I can explain this.

Symptom #1. After starting the radio has lost it's time and switches to AM. I must hit the FM button for the radio to come on. All presets are OK. Clock is back to 12:00

Sympton #2. As soon as it starts the gauges take 10 + seconds to start to display.

Sympton #3 The engine starts to crank and then dies. Turn the key off then to the start position Nothing. After 3 minutes or so. It will start.

This is an 05 v6 5speed Mustang Convert.

Any Ideas?

Weak battery, maybe check out the alternator while you’re at it.

That was my first thought. I'll change it out tonight and see what happens. I'll report back when done.

The battery took care of it. The original battery was changed out under warranty, this one was almost 3 years old.

Good to go.

Thanks, Guys.
