I am wanting to get new wheels for my 2008, but I am concerned that if I do, the tire pressure reading/light will no longer work. Is this a common issue when changing out stock wheels?

If you don't have the sensors installed on the new wheels, you will get the tire pressure light and it cannot be turned off.

That is a common issue, and if you search through the forums people have come up with some interesting ways off defeating the light (ie the tire bomb). But if you still want this feature you can either have the shop that is putting your wheels/tires together remove the TPMS bands from your stock rims and put them in your new rims or if you purchase the rims from American Muscle they will put in new ones for you, at a nominal ($110) cost.

The ones on my 07 don't have the sensors in them. The light doesn't beep at you or anything. it doesn't bother me at all.

Yea, but for me it's more the principal of it. My car is a 2008. It's by far the newest/nicest/cleanest car I have ever owned. It just wouldn't feel right if I had any of the warning lights on.
