Sorry to be beating a dead horse here, but I cant make up my mind on a CAI/Tune. I was considering a Steeda CAI/ Tuner combo from AmericanMuscle, but i also really like the K&N kits. Looking for opinions here, whats the best bang for the buck? I know steeda claims 16-20hp with tune. K&N claim around 8-10, but thats without a tune correct? I'm looking for opinions from people who actually have these setups. Thank you

Ok, so i was looking at the JLT and idk, something looks weird about it. It just isn't as flashy as i would like. I kinda like the looks of the BBK intake. Here's my big dilemma, my warranty doen't expire until next july so i really hate to reflash yet. Is it possible to get a CAI without tuning it? I want a tune, just not yet. I know alot of companies claim thier intakes dont require a tune but is that true? Or am I just looking for a lot of trouble going that route? I've only got about 225 bucks to work with.

Look into C&L. But now you are weighing in the look of the CAI vs performance of it. And yes, you can get a CAI without a tune (AS LONG AS IT SAYS THAT IT DOES NOT REQUIRE A TUNE). There are only two I am aware of, BBK and K&N. But again, they are a waist of money. The performance gain you will see is what it is like driving in the winter vs summer. MY advice, save up. Otherwise it is not worth it.

Get a C&L CAI,you will love it! Tune it with a DiabloSport Predator and you will see/feel the power gains. I haven't had any problems with mine (had it for two years),and when I drive my car well I get up to 24 MPG city and 30 MPG freeway. When I floor it I get like 19MPG city and 22-25 freeway.
I used the 93 Octane C&L Firmshift tune by decreasing my Global Spark by -2,because we only have 91 Octane in Cali.
