Default 2005 Mustang/Shaker 500 - DNX5120 HU install trouble

I just installed a DNX5120 in a 2005 Mustang (replaced a shaker 500). I lost the subs somehow (well, they play at about 1/2 power as before), and I had the PAC C2R-FRD1 harness that was supposed to integrate it. I hooked it up exactly as in the directions. The sub input on the PAC harness had two RCA's (a purple and a green) so I hooked them to two Sub preouts. Could I have reversed them and messed it up??

Also, I do not know if it is related, but when I use the DNX5100 to adjust the fade, when I face it to the back, the subs play in the doors, but when I fade to the front, the subs shut off and only the small door speakers play.

Anyone help?

Thanks!

Problem solved. The PAC harness has 2 Sub inputs and the deck has 2 outputs. A novice like me would figure, "Hmm... I'll use both!" Not that simple. Only the green (one was green and one was purple) input worked for my car. Add to the fact that the contacts on the outside weren't making good contact, and you can see why there was no sub activity... I went to "we used to carry electronics and now pretty much sell cell phones-shack" and bought a "Y" RCA splitter (1 female ->2 Male), hooked it to the green and the other side to both outputs and now my subs hit harder than with the stock unit. I'll have to actually turn them down a bit. I taped over the purple one that was just hanging behind the dash so it couldn't cause any issues. On top of that, it cured my ground loop!

Just figured I'd post for posterity's sake!
