long tubes are nice but cost alot.

if your not going FI why bother?

then u have to modify the muffler system

shorties, look good and cost less. but dont do much.

i got a set of shorties on ebay for $100.

generic brand
they look great

dident feel no power increase, but you prolly wotn with any header...ESP shorties.

my buddy is makeing 620 HP on shorties.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...Q5fAccessories

is what i bought, and who i bought it from. great service super fast shiping

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...Q5fAccessories

same thing few dollars cheaper.

they are all made in china, come with gaskets and hardware

instalation of shorties is moderate. a bout a 3 on the 1-10 skill level.

took me 2 hours. and only a few tools.

i got a how to write up somewhere.

I don't have any yet, but from the comparison research I have done online (cuz I want some too) JBA seems to have a good set of headers. Also, Anderson Ford in Clinton, IL has a full performance shop and on site DYNO and they have their own in-shop long tubes for the V6, as well as a CAI. That is the only place where I have actually found long tube headers for the V6.

any headers with the words "long" and "tube" in the name will give you about 10-15 horses. all shorties do is look cool and add 2 horsepower.....if that

you forgot the "cool factor" with the shorties. if you install them, then you will be cool. and as a old guy once told me " once your cool, your always cool". ok, i`m gonna cool it now

yes and no. they are legal as long as you get a catted shorty midpipe. you will need what is called a shorty midpipe (either H or X) and from there you can go with either catted or offroad midpipes, the offroad ones are the illegal ones.
