Default Help installing 2009 GT Power Leather Seats in 2005 V6

I just tried installing known working 2009 GT power leather seats in my 2005 V6. Once we had the driver seat installed and the wiring harnesses were connected, we realized that the seat's adjustment controls didn't work.

Upon further inspection, we realized that the wiring harness for the V6 driver seat only has 3 wires, while the 2009 GT we pulled it from has 6. Strangely enough, though, my V6 came with a fuse for power seats, so it must be compatible and the harnesses are the same.

My question is, has anybody had any success installing power GT leather seats in a 2005 V6? In addition, could it be possible to get them to work by modifying the seat's wiring harness?

Thanks!

I think the seats are different when going from a regular mustang to a premium package mustang. the premium has a six direction adjustment up, down, front, back ,tilt up, tilt back, and the lumbar adjustment switch.if your mustang has the premium package it should work. I'm just guessing but I think thats why so many wires. also anything can be wired up just find the seat wire harness from the GT and put it in your car, there just power and ground wires

Thanks for the reply. My V6 Mustang isn't a premium package, so that would explain the difference in the number of wires. You're saying that 3 of the 6 wires from the GT's harness are power and the other 3 are ground, right? I can't remove the harness from the 2009 GT, but it may be possible to rewire my V6 harness. What could that third wire be for on the V6 harness, though, if one is power and one is ground?
