Default ABS Breaks on 08 V6 - Are they affected by the degree of a grade?

I took my car up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great drive. I recommend it for anyone who is near it. I noticed that the ABS started kicking in on very steep grades. At first I thought I warped the rotors. But ones things leveled off I tested the brakes again and all was normal. Does anyone know if the ABS is affected by the grade of a slope?

No, not by slope. It kicks in if the wheels start spinning at different speeds. Was this a sandy road you were on?

No. It was a mountain highway. I'm wondering if the heat of the brakes has anything to do with it. There are a lot of sections that require you to apply the brakes for long periods of time if you are stuck behind someone.

Yeah you may have heated them up really good, and then they cooled down. Did you notice any ABS or trac control lights coming on in the cluster when you felt this?

I didn't want to take my eyes off the road. It was constant switchbacks. Fantastic drive. This is the first car I have had ABS on and I am trying to get used to that. Not to mention other things.

But I really enjoyed the springs I put in last year. I had so much control.
