[Crashddown]

Recently my alternator on my 2005 V6 stock died. After replacing, I now get a rapid clicking while starting the engine. It sounds as if the battery is dead. The battery has tested out fine as did the new alternator. It starts fine, but it still makes noise. Any help or comments are greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forums. has the battery been replaced? the 05 oem needs to be replaced by now. if your sure its good, clean the battery terminals real good.

a battery could be good but weak. what's the volts before and after being started? also it could be your starter solenoid.
