New tune when installing new gears?

Am I going to need a new tune for my car after installing a different gear ratio? I have an SCT X3, can I buy a tune online and download it?

You can change it yourself so the speedo is correct.

no you do not need a new tune, just go into your settings of your device and you can change the gear ratio there....pick the apropriate one then make sure you save the changes....also if you wanna be safe you can call your place where you got the tune and they will resend your current tune with the upgraded gears on the tune for ya,they should do this for no charge..........

not sure if you have a preloaded tune or not already on your sct but if thats the case you wanna get a tune from brenspeed or bamachips anyways there much much much better then the pre loaded tunes.....i recomend bama chips 93 race tune

No tune is rquired for a diff. gear setup. Just go into your SCT and go to adjust options and look for Gear ratio. Then sellect wich ever gear ratio you wentwtih and press select.
