Default need suggestions on performance mods.

Hi, new to modifying my mustang but I love it. really clueless on performance mods. styling is a little easier because I can just do what looks good. I need suggestions on performance mods. like more horsepower.

Ok, already added Duel exhaust straight duels without crossovers with cats and 2 flowmasters. Along with K&N CAI. Just ordered a SCT tuner with custom tunes today.

I guess I don't know where to go from here. I like performace out of my car and more horsepower. I'm sure you all have some great ideas. Just dont know where I should go from here.

Thank you.

i would suggest different gears to make your car feel totally different acceleration wise. No hp gains. It depends how much money you want to spend, you could go S/C or turbo or if you want to stay away from forced induction you can get cylinder heads and camshaft from tom morana or supersixmotorsports.com

heads and cams might be a little less, don't know though. You'd prob gain like 60 hp with the heads and camshaft etc

Where did you order your tuner from? If it was from american muscle, all you got was "canned tunes".Not a custom wrote tune like Doug at Bama does.

Yes I ordered it from american muscle today. should be here in 2 days. I thought their tunes were custom, opposed to pre loaded tunes. that was the reason I didn't go with the diablo sport. I didn't want "canned tunes". but honestly, I don't think I did much in mods to really get much more out of a "true custom tune". I've only done the exhaust, and CAI. could I really get more from a true custom tune?

American Muscle's tunes are custom, although they don't show as great of gains as other programmers, i.e. Bamachips, Brenspeed, ect.

I would strongly suggest gears and tlok. They will show the biggest difference in your butt-o-meter department. Sceamon demon coils and wires are also popular. After that, you have longtubes, aluminum driveshaft, suspension mods, and forced induction. Take a look at other threads, there is a ton of information to be found using the search option.

ya know a upgraded motor is a good idea, look at supersixmotorsports.com or you could always drop a 5.4L in ur ride
