Default Quick Driveshaft Question?

I read that up to 2006 v6 mustangs to not come with retaining clips with the DS. I have a 2006. I am wanting to buy 4.10 gears and a LSD but not sure if i should buy a new DS with it? Is my stock one safe enough to use or should i buy an aftermarket one?. And atm i have Exhaust, SCT tune with intake running with 93 bamachip if this changes anything?

Im no expert on the matter, but i think what you want to do should be fine. The only times I've actually heard of someones driveshaft breaking was during 100+ mph or on a dyno. Again im no expert. Actually i was wondering, is this a problem on the 2007? Ive only ever went 100mph once and i didnt pole vault, but i never did it again since i didnt know

I got a Shaftmasters driveshaft in my '06 V6, and love it. You can tell the car accelerates better and the ride is a lot smoother. Well worth the investment.

You should be fine with the stock, unless you are gonna put alot of strain on it. If you go max speed alot, you may want to look into an aftermarket one, just because the driveshaft is known to fail at above 120mph, which would be lower with the steeper gears.

Do you know what the speed might be lowered to with gears?
