Default Install Screamin' Demon & Livewires w/ stock plugs or wait?

Just received my Screamin Demon coil & Livewires yesterday and am anxious to get them installed. Went to Autozone, CarQuest, and Napa and the only single ground plugs that they had were the OEM Autolites.

Should I just pull out the existing plugs, re-gap them to .065 and put them back in or should I order some NGK's (or other) on-line and wait to install the coil & wires?

The car only has 32k on it and it runs fine so I'm guessing that the existing plugs are ok?

Very true but from what I've read, I wouldn't be taking full advantage of the new coil. Bigger gap = bigger spark.... no???

ya, bigger gap for a single electrode plug. i found the bosch fusions to run better than the single electrodes gapped. they will take all the volts you can throw at them and no gap. longalan2 running a demon with msd wires recommended them to me last year, and i like them. try it both ways and you decide your not gonna light the streets on fire with just a coil and wires, but you should be able to notice it.

for the maximum power use a SINGLE GROUND plug. due to makeing that arc jump

will u feel a difference in power between plus for and single ground? nope dyno proly wouldent even register it.... but the wallet will

i got 6 bosch platnums i put in. then took right back out. my fuel burns better with a single ground plug because the gaps bigger and burns it a hair better. but ignition is ignition

id like to sell my plugs ( 100 miles if that and like $30 in plugs )

i have bought the NGK plugs single ground platnum they are pretty rad.

I have the same set up and used the Bosch +4's so far so good. I'm noticing a little better performance, and gas mileage has increased slightly.
I say either gap out old ones, or buy +4's, just be careful not to break them off as a lot of owners have had seized plugs. Be careful and take your time.

Well, decided to just re-gap the current plugs. To my surprise, they weren't autolites. They were Motorcraft and were gapped to .055!

I opened them up to .065 and put 'em back in. I can definitely feel the differemce in the low rpm's. Also, the engine shifts extremely smooth now. Not sure how a new coil has that effect but hey, I'll take it!

You can also try indexing your single ground plugs for added performance.

Ive done it on everything from mowers to V8s. I really noticed an improvement on motorcycles more than the rest, quicker response and starting.
