Exclamation 2005 Mustang v6 problems...help!

ok i drove to work and back yesterday and everything was working then about 2 hours later went to go drive somewhere again and the key fobe wouldn't work to unlock or lock the car so opened it with the key got in started it up and had no stereo power doors or windows and all the idot lights on the dash stayed on. also wouldnt shift out out park. turned it off and started it again the shut it off again and statrted it back up a few more times. finally got it to go back to normal everything worked again, except the check engine light stayed on. so i disconnected the battery for about a hour and hooked it back up and check engine light went off and everythnig worked. then this morning was driving to work with my low beams on and went to go flip my high beams on and the wouldnt work at all they just shut off until i fliped it back to low beams. like the hi beams burn't out but they didnt. does anybody know what could cause these problems or what i could do to fix it thanks

Do you have an aftermarket (non-Ford) alarm or remote start system wired into the car by chance?

unhook that batrtery and let it sit for an hour or so...

its a security thing theres a way u can do something like turn the key and apply brake and hit the OD button or something to unlock it with out takeing off battery.

guy at the car show a few weeks back had that problem a ford specialist was there. told him how to over ride it.

Sounds to me like you may have a short somewhere. Did you by chance read the code before you cleared it? That should direct you to the right area.
