Hiya, I got the AM performance tune with a JLT and sf3 tuner. 2005 V6. I have been looking at other posts about tunes from bama and wondering if it will really help me out. I can't get 93 octane around here so I would get the 91 race tune. Would I see enough improvement on response to pay $50 for a new tune? Anyone upgrade from the AM tune to the bama tune and has a story? thanks!

YES you would. torque curve is completely rewritten, feels awesome. this is comin from experience w/ a v8, but i'm sure theres be a huge difference w/ the v6 too. enjoy!

the 91 bama race tune is very radical. the shift pattern is kinda crazy wild. it will snap your head back when it shifts ( with a auto) when heavy on the throttle. taking off really slow, it shifts from 1st to 4rth by 20 mph. runs with plenty of zip. i consider a performance tune a economy tune for taking trips. theres no big deal there. the only thing about runing the bama race tune full time is it will make you wonder how hard it is on the trans. tillmans race tune runs awesome as far as zip, but without the radical hard shift pattern. i switch back and forth from time to time. you should try it

Yea you should feel big difference between two tunes. The only thing i didnt like was the hard shifting which you can change that to softer shift on your tuner so yea it worth $50.

I would go with tillman but I checked out their website and it's so much involvement. Like I can't just order a tune online it looks like I have to call or something.

this is a great mod for all of our cars. I got mine form VMP tunning - 91 octane - and has worked flawlessly. justin is very knowledgable. got my tune on line and downloaded it
I finally loaded my 93 race tune yesterday from Bama after having run the 93 torque for about a month. I noticed the difference before I even sat in the car...I started it and the exhaust was a bit louder, then I revved it once and it seemed more effortless. Driving it is now a blast.
