Default warranty voided?

Hey guys I heard the other day that bolt on parts don't void your warranty. I am kinda new at the whole modding scene and was wondering if this was true. If it is technically what would NOT be considered bolt on parts?

bolt on parts do void it

technicly a drop in filter does

i know dual exaust does.

but anything to modify the drive line will void warrenty

even FRPP will void your warrenty even if its installed at ford.

their excuse is because its aftyermarket it could have played a role in the breaking of what ever.

take it from me, a guy fighting ford, leave it stock if you want warrenty!

but its much more fun not stock!

Yeah or wait until your warranty runs out, then enjoy the hell out of it with every mod you can think of, Mike. SCT Tuner.

You can argue Magnuson-Moss Act until you're blue in the face but Ford has way more time and resources on their side.

If you goto a dealer talk to your service manager. I have the dealer do my routine maintenance and other work. My dealer said they would honor all engine warranty when I had the CAI, tune and exhaust. But once I added the supercharger all engine and driveline warranty work was voided. I thought this was fair. With the blower though all other parts of my car other than the powertrain are still covered by warranty. Talk to the manager so you can know for sure. I only use the dealer as they sell Roush cars and since I always knew I was gonna add a supercharger I thought it would be good to have a dealer that is very familar with supercharged Mustangs for any troubleshooting. My dealer did screw me on the dreaded TSB water leak issue but it did state that the extended warranty did not cover water leaks and he did argue with Ford several times to try to get them to cover it.
