Default Dual exhaust for v6

Hey guys , i'm thinking about getting a dual exhaust for my 09 pony package v6. i was wondering if that can cause any problems to the engine, or any loss in power hp or torque...since its not a v8... and if not, which one would you guys recommend. I know it's probably a pretty noob question, but i really don't know anything about it... thanks in advance

most aftermarket duals will cause a little popping in the mufflers no issue, a large CAI will take that away

however.... changeing mufflers, even ford to ford, will void your warrenty.

i reccomend leaveing it alone till u get teh warrenty up.

its up to u
but if done right they can sound good. dont expect to feel power though

welcome aboard

Stay away from the Pypes brand. I have had nothing but trouble from my true dual kit.

Welcome. A dual exhaust kit is a very common mod. Check out Silverbullet's thread up in the sticky of this section for more info.

Not to hijack this thread, but I got a few quotes on custom pipes. Seems like they all want just around $250 to get my pipes cut after the cats and run two single pipes to the rear.

Good deal or not?

And does anyone got a template on how to cut the bumper?

i go symetrical with measureing hte other cut out, a CD is exactly the size

its like 1/8 an inch below the fold but im not sure how far over.

ive done a few, easy to do, i used a key hole saw and touched up with a dremel

my cat back system was $160 installed and welded.

my mufflers were like 3 sumthing

i love my pypes, of course, i didnt get the kit, i got the GT violators, which are different mufflers than the pypes SP's that are in the kit. (violators are wayyy better) anyway, check out the thread at the top, then we can fill in any more answers you may need
