Could this be a caused by a custom tune? I have a 2005 V6 running a BBK CAI and a Bama 92 Race tune.
A few days ago while driving the car the engine goes into safe mode the wrench light comes on and I limp it home.
I pullout my Diablo tuner to pull the codes.
P2100 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit/Open
P2104 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Idle
P2107 Throttle Actuator Control Module Processor
P2110 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM
I load in the factory tune...same codes.
I take it to my mechanic they do teir thing and it seems to point to the throttle body ...so they replace it...same codes...damn.
So now there really digging in testing wire harness bleed and a bunch of stuff..I trust this shpt and they are very thorough and still looking at a number of things including maybe a new ECU.
I told them I ran a custom tune and had no issues with is for over 6 months and don't think that is the problem.
Looking at the codes that were thrown has anyone seen a custom tune cause that type of failures?
Not looking ofr blame here just trying to help my shop out.
Thanks.
