Hi Steve, why did'nt FORD themselves just make the V6 a better performing engine on it's own without the (aftermarket Tunes)? You'd think you could just get a (Computer) of your choice when you buy your car, one with more preformance or less, it seems like FORD is missing out on something here.
Exactly what comes with the custome tunes? Could'nt another Mustang owner just use someone elses handheld tuner on there computer, or is there more to the Tune than just the handheld tuner?
Thank's Again Steve!
Ron

Ron, Ford tunes down their cars ( for gas mileage ect ) and frankly the stock tune sucks you really wouldnt know it until you get a performance tune , to get the best performance you need to have either bolt on parts ( supercharger ect )and or a CAI & performance tune to get more out of your car V6 or V8, the tuners will tune your car to the mods you have if any and the processor code of your specific car, also they tune your car to the octane levels your have in your area the make the tune specific to your car, if you buy some one elses hand held tuner I under stand you can get tunes on them if the hand held is unlocked not sure how you do that. The best bet is to get a CAI and hand held tuner from one of the customer tuners and you know it will be right for your car, Just my opinion but if its to good to be true it is and you get what you pay for , dont go cheap on parts for your car it just causes headaches, It would be helpful if you can do searches here to find out what others have done as well , do searches on Performance tune, Brenspeed, Bama Chips, Tillmans, SCT tuner and dual exhaust for V6 that will help, thats how I found out about the things I wanted to do to my car, I did research and asked questions, have a great week

Steve

Ron , just to clarify remmember The "tune" is a program that re-tunes the computer to bring out the best performance for the modifications you do to your car. the tune alone will improve the performance to a stock car and motor also, getting you better mpg and some performance but the best performance is used with the Cold Air Intake ( CAI )

Make sure if you go for a tune, go aggressive, get a big CAI like the JLT, go for a Race/All Out Tune and go for 93 or 92 octane[/quote]

So is the CAI (Cold Air Intake) Included with the Tune or is it something I purchase seperately? I do plan on going with the Race All Out Tune and a Big CAI. I never planned on Skimping on My Car or Parts, I was just wondering if the Tuner could be used on another car besides mine.
Thank's Again Steve!
