Default 2007 Mustang Pony V6 Premium better shift, Help

I have a 2007 Mustang V6 Premeium Auto with the Pony Package, I bought her new in 07, she has 6,023 miles on her. Im looking for a better (Harder Shift) from the Tranny. What can I do? is there a Preformance Chip I can get or do I need to go to the Dealear and get the Computer Reprogrammed?
Thank's, Ron

Get a cold air intake and some tunes. I bought my tunes from Bama Chips and finally put on the one they call "RACE". My 07 v6 is now much peppier and shifts a little harder too...especially the more you get on it.

a tuner will change the shift firmness...a CAI with that tuner will make it a new car....but if you touch it you loose your warrenty

My Brenspeed's tune turned my auto into a rocket, with hard smooth shifts and awesome throttle response, it flat out woke this car up!!! Transmission will last longer with firmer shifts, soft shift= slippage, heat and wear.

O.k. Im gonna try and not ack too dumb, I do know alot about car's and engines, but what exactly will the cold air intake do and where can I get one? Im thinking it will add 10-15 HP? also get some tunes??? what do you mean? is it a Chip? will it void my warranty? even though my warranty will be up next July, but the car still only has 6,050 miles
Thank's
Ron

This may be something I will do next July when my 36,000 mile warranty ends. How do I go about doing these changes? Or will this also affect my Powertrain warranty after the bumper to bumper 36,000 mile warranty expires? My car is better than new for a 07, it only has 6,050 miles
Thank's
Ron

Thank's
Ron

SCT X3 or Diablosport tuner from Bamachips, Brenspeed or Tillman speed. Check out their websites for more info, it's costly but worth it. Make sure if you go for a tune, go aggressive, get a big CAI like the JLT, go for a Race/All Out Tune and go for 93 or 92 octane

Ron, There are tuner packages which include a Cold Air Intake ( you have to pick one ) JLT or C&L are the best but require a tune and you get the SCT X3 hand held tuner with the custom tunes, for about 600.00, Brenspeed.com is where I got my tunes which are awesome I already had my Cold Air Intake on my car when I bought it ( K&N but it didnt require a tune ), there is also Tillman.com and Bama Chips.com websites to check out pricing and information, you can install the Cold air kit yourself and also the tune, now the warranty part varies I would say , some say the dealers say no and some say yes , I wanted to enjoy the power now because you can re-install the stock tune before you go to the dealer, do a search here on tuning for more information , hope this helps

This helped Alot! And what I really like is what it does for the price. Also I checked with the Ford Dealer and they did'nt want to hear anything about what I may do to the Car, they said if they did'nt do it then it would void my warranty.
But I guess that's the chance I'll have to take if I want more preformance out of it. Also does this tune in anyway shorten the life span of the motor and trans in anyway? I never beat on my car and still wont when I get this tune done. But I do get on it every now and then, we have too!
Thank's for all the help!

Dont worry about hurting your car if anything the tune will make it last longer , The Stealerships are always saying no so dont sweat it they will come around anyway, good luck on your purchase and enjoy your new car , I sure am !

Update:: Today I finally was able to empty my tank of 87 octane I had installed the 87 performance tune, I installed my new Brenspeed 91 race tune, WOW......................... HOLY HOLY S### I floored it and almost slid off the road into the other lane, talk about masive extra power I didnt know I had there, smooth firm shifts and down right dig fast, not to shabby for for my auto, it is amazing this is the same car I had a week ago , talk about put you back in your seat , now I know what the head rests are for . I didnt know how much more fun it is to drive with all the extra giddy up it Thanks Brenspeed !!!!

Now you got me EXCITED! I cant wait to get mine! The only problem is, I live in Snow Country, South Western New York and our Weather has turned to CRAP again. After the Rainiest Summer on Record were not getting any Fall at all. So any day now Im putting My Stang away in the Garage for the Winter, unless we get a sudden change wich I dont see comming. So I may not get to see what my new tune will do untill the Spring. But that's O.K. I'll keep the miles low on her. Like I said she only has 6,050 miles on her now and she has to be the Cleanist 07 anywhere. I know this may sound bad but I have never even have washed my stang, she has never been dirty! I dust her off, wax and full detail her befor and after each drive! My friends say Im Nuts but the car looks Showroom still and it's a 07, I even keep the underneath as clean as the rest of the car. Im gonna keep this one forever and when she's paid for she may have 10,000 miles on her and that will be in 2012.
I prefer the looks better on the 07 than the newer stangs like the 2010's, Im glad I got one when I did. And thank's for being a Friend, One of my Best Friends is (Rockin 1) his E-Bay Name, so when I saw your user name you fit right in. I'll be looking forward to more replys and help with my Mustang.
Thank's and Best Wishes!
Ron

I always change the tune back to 87 in the winter since I have no need for the extra hp in the winter, especially during times of snow and ice. It also saves a few bucks.
