Default Very Loud Clunk While Shifting

Alright so 2 weird things just happened to me. 1) While driving back to school I pulled off the interstate and stopped at a red light. When I went to accelerate the tach climbed to about 2k then immediately dropped like the tire was slipping and the TCS cut the throttle but I didnt notice any slippage. 2) While parking I was a little crooked so I wanted to straighten up. When I shift to park and let off the brake there was a very noticable "clunk" and a small jerk. It shifted back into drive alright but that was it, I havent driven yet after that. What is going on??

I thought it sounded like the noise came from the rearend but I cant be sure. Im wondering if it could have just been that the splines werent quite lined up and slipped? I expect rear end trouble from a Chevy, but a Mustang?

when u shifted to park you kjust let off the brake and it rolled forwards or backwards and locked in the gear splines. no big deal there. as for your first problem, i dunno. id go driv eit and see if you can get it to do it again. yea sounds dumb if u think its hurting the car but if youre ready fr it this time it may be something completely different than what you thought.
