Sequential Taillight problem help!

i just got tem in yesterday and before the today was over one of my bulbs have already burn out! so for those of you that have bought them have. have yal had this problem? is there anything that i can do to prevent this from happening again, and where can i get a replacment bulb?

did you touch the bulbs with your bare hands? If you did you need to clean them with rubbing alcohle. the oil from your hands causes them to blow. you can buy replacements at any auto parts store.

That only affects halogen bulbs due to "hot spots" from oil on your hands. Incandescent bulbs don't get that hot.

Well since the lights have to flash more the light bulbs will go out quicker. but its never a prob and u can buy the bulbs from walmart or an auto store.

I've got sequential tail lights from Web electric and have not had a bulb go out. Been installed for about 1 year.

Do the bulbs seem to be the same brightness when the flash?

when you put the sequentials in did you use the old bulbs or did you go with new ones, If you used the old ones chances are it would have blown soon but it just went quicker due to more use. I believe that the bulbs are 3157's you should be able to get them just about anywhere, should only be about 5 bucks for two of them

yea everything works good its just that one bulb. but i guess since i have 80,000 miles on the car the lights were bound to burn out sometime. ill just buy new bulbs and go from there and see what happens. thanks for the help guys.

I thought he had halogens. I didn't see the year of his car. my bad

I bought the WebElectric plug-n-play and they've been fine for 2+ yrs now. I know from experience that a used bulb can fail if you handle it. I think the filament gets more fragile with age.
