Default HID Installation help

Hello,

I just bought a 4300K HID conversion kit from Retro-Solutions. However, I am having some trouble mounting the ballasts. There doesn't seem to be a good place to mount the ballasts. I would either only use one of the two screw holes, and it won't lay flush. I need some suggestions. What have people done in the past? Any pictures would be greatly helpful.

I felt the included instructions were extremely vague and it didn't specify a mounting point. I watched the StangMods video I found on youtube and could not use its instructions because of mods they had already made to the mustang they were using for a demonstration. I did some searching for HID installation in the forum but didn't find any results.

I have a V6 Mustang, with the stock air filter (big and square).

Thank you.

Do you get any rattle? Or are you scared they might come off and then get tangled in your engine belts or something like that?

Thank you for the pictures. Mine mount slightly different than yours. Mine does not have the square bracket to mount off an edge. But I appreciate you trying to help. Its good to see that one of the locations I originally chose is actually a good spot.
