I was looking at superchargers for a while but they cost a lot. I just want a little extra power every once in a while. I already have a CAI with a tune, but with a 50 shot is there anything that i will need to do about the tune, can i keep my tune? Also does the nitrous get into the intake through a throttle body spacer type thing or does it require something more complicated? Can i turn off the nitrous for most of the time because if it goes every time I'm at full throttle then ill be refilling the bottle every week and trashing my engine. Is a kit from zex or nitrous express easy to install, i replaced my friends clutch for him so would this be easy? I hate to go the ricer route but seems perfect for me. Any info is appreciated
Basic Nitrous Tuning(101) -- Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords start here, find out what kit is best for what you are expecting. depending on how much you intend to spray (hp shot) and how many times you spray it, depends on how long the bottle last. in the end, you could come out just as cheap supercharging, refills for me usually run 35 to 40 per bottle. that could get expensive, nitrous is like crack, fun as hell, but can get expensive...
Ur 50spray kit is done with usually a button u can get a foggier and that is by the throttle body. but if u get a 50 shot u cut a hole in Ur intake put a nozzle in their and hook it up.. but check with Ur local p.d. here in boulder Colo nos is a off road app if u get caught with it car is took for like 8 days
if you are lookin for something that is simple and easy to install/use/hide, i would say dry shot. if all you gonna have is a 50 or 75 shot. make sure to find a kit that is designed for your car. im not sure about the electronics on the 05 up v6, so there may be something you will need (that should be in the kit) that wouldnt be in a reg universal kit.
is a wet kit safer though, because thats a big thing, would the only difference with the install between wet and dry be taping into the fuel line with the wet kit?
How does a window switch know the rpm, and how does the system know when its at full throttle, is it all linked to the pcm, or where does it hook up to

i think its one hot, one ground, one to the tach sig, then the other wire to the ground side for your solenoids. on the switch you have 2 slots for msd style rpm pills. one side turns it on at whatever rpm pill you install, the other side turns it off. (3,000 on/6,000 off). in other words. if you have one, you dont have to worry about when to (hit the switch).
i have one on my mustang, along with a WOT switch, and a msd dig 6 box. it has a feature where it automatically retards the timing as soon as the nitrous hits. i dont have to have to worry about turning the dist. every time i change jets, alot easier. jus hit the arm switch, and just worry bout drivin, everything else takes care of itself.
