Default 18 inch rims with my stock tires?

I plan on sticking black 18" FR500 rims on my mustang, but i want to know if its possible i can use the tires off the stock rims and use them on the 18" ones. I have a 2006 Mustang

If you're current stock rims are 18", then you should be able to, depending on the width of the new rims.

Stock runs are either 16" or 17 " rims so yeah new tires are necessary
