Default Power to both wheels?

I was curious if when your car is not peeling out do you get power to both wheels on the 4.0 V6 stangs?

"Power to both wheels." Let me think about that. It's not as catchy as "power to the people", but I guess it makes for an okay slogan.

Oh, and if your car doesn't have a traction lock or some type of limited slip differential, then I'm pretty sure that your car is always powering only one wheel.

+1 with the open differential, only the right rear wheel gets power

You are always getting power (=torque) to both rear wheels with an open diff.

Problem is it is divided equally to each wheel no matter what. So when one wheel slips and starts spinning you are wasting all the torque spinning and effectively reducing the torque since you have no traction on one wheel.

The posi's/lsd's overcome this problem by transferring more power to the wheel that is not spinning.

The one wheel burnouts on the V6 are normal. You need this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-4204-C75/#
