Default 4.10 gears - bearing kit question

Hello, I am looking into buying 4.10 gears for my 05' 4.0L. i have the 8.8 rearend and i was wondering if it is necessary to buy the bearing kit as well? i have no idea what it does, it just shows up as an option on american muscle. im going to get the T-LOK rebuild kit and is the bearing kit necessary and what does it do? thank you. and its the tuner combo as well, dont know if that makes a difference or not.

You are going to need the pinion bearing and crush washer, possibly shims at least.

Why are you getting a T-Lok rebuild kit? Did you purchase a used T-Lok? V6 does not have a T-Loc unless it was installed after purchase.

After checking the link and re-reading the OP's original post, it was clear to me he may be confused.

no that will not work. you have to buy the gears made for the 7.5. i would also recommend getting a limited slip differential. look around they might sell a tuner/gear combo for the 7.5 somewhere.

This is everything you will need:

Motive Performance Plus 4.10 Gears for 7.5in Rear

Ford Racing 7.5" 28 Spline Traction - LOK Limited Slip Differential

Motive Bearing Kit (7.5in)

(3) Royal Purple Max Gear 75w140 Gear Oil

I was going to do this upgrade but now I've decided to wait until spring. The weather is getting bad and can't really punch the gas without fishtailing into the other lane.
