Default Rear Tire Chirping or Squealing Problem

I've have a 2007 4.0 L V6 with 38,000 miles on it. Intermitenly when I slow down and then accelerate, the rear tires chirp or squeal just for a second or two and then it goes away. This is an unententional situation. It has done it while slowing down on the interstate going 70 and then accelerating again. The situation scares me to death when it happens. I took it in to the dealer for a fix and they changed out the alternator and belt. Before I take it back, I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what was the final fix. Is it the transmission, computer or what?

u notice how it only happens for a quick second when u accelerate..RWD's will do this, the back wheels have a lot of power going to them when u accelerate and sometiimes they cant grab the road and spin out a bit. happens to me at pretty much every green light..and my car isnt even tuned with a CAI yet.

and hey, atleast u got some new parts from the stealership

funny, most guys with mustangs want the rear tires to spin at 70

the drivetrain has a little slop in it, an that MAY be causing the tires to slow down just enough to slid or "chirp. Think of it the same way as down shifting while going to fast. just an idea

You might be the first person in history to actually complain about tire chirp. That said, an easy solution to your problem would be to drive a Plymouth Reliant as they are 100 percent un-chirpable. I hope I have helped.

welcome to the forums. is it a auto trans? your v6 shouldnt be able to chirp the tires just giving it gas at 70 mph. you might actually have a torque converter problem or a shift problem. does it seem like the trans slips, motor revs, then grabs when it happens? it doesnt sound right. the belt and alt. i dought had anything to do with it but ya cool you got some new parts.

Might Be Getting a Hard Backlash From The Rear End In The Downshift. Or Maybe The Same Thing From The Upshift. Which Might Mean Your rear End May Be Getting loose....But I Suppose Thats What You get For Going To That All Boys School.... How Does Your Car Feel When Your Shifting? Is It Auto?
