a guy at my work got longtubes on his 07 gt and told me what a pain in the ass it is to install them. he even said at what point you have to move the engine. the v6's though have a lot more room in the engine bay. i guess what i'm asking is, is it easier to install them on a v6 than a gt or does it still require all those steps? (gt owners feel free to chime in too). thanks guys

They are a pretty time consuming job on the V8. I would think the V6 would be somewhat easier. I took my time when I did mine, a couple of hours each day over the course of a week. I just took time to remove items that got in the way instead of fighting it (starter, motor mounts, etc). If you take your time, I don't think it will be all that bad. I did mine off jack stands, but if you have access to a lift it would help also.

here's a picture so you guys can see what i'm saying. there's nothing in the way.. it's the same on both sides... is it just a gt thing that they're hard?
