Default painting rims

so i have an 06 v6 mustang with pony package and a billet grille i was thinking about paint my rims and grille black btw the car is silver with 12 inch black stripes what type of paint do you think i should use how many coats and should i use a clear coat or nat let me know what you think of this thanks in advance

Oh, people post in the wrong place all the time; I doubt if anyone will kill you over it (but I guess that's for the administrators to decide). As for the paint, the following link should help, although I'd be afraid to try it myself.

duplicolar has rim piant but on the silver i like black i used balck caliper paint and instead of useing tape for ur tire i recomened vasaline just let um dry and spray it off id get like 5 cans and empty em all out and id depends clear adds shine i like the dull

wow i guess vasiline just got another use lol thats like 500 hundred now thtas a nice tip and thanks for that link it helped


yeah i love black and silver but my stripes are glossy so i figured glossy rims and grille would go better than matte any body else have suggestions or tips im going to leave lip of the rim silver but polished i was thinking 1000 grit wet sand to do that what do yo guys think
