I'm stuck between what I want to do to my car next. Either visuals or performance? Suggestions are appreciated.
If I go the performance route I want to get 4.10 gears with t-lok which will cost about $450 then installation another $450. So were looking at about $900.
OR
Should I go the visual route and get hood scoop, window louvers, side scoops, headlight splitters, caliper paint kit, and brushed bullitt style fuel door. All that runs painted and ready for installation for about $800. (or get my windows tinted instead of bullit style fuel door and caliper paint kit for a grand total for everything for $900)

CURRENT MODS:JLT CAI WITH 93 PERFORMANCE TUNE FROM AMERICAN MUSCLE. PYPES STREET-PRO AXLE-BACK. STEEDA TB SPACER.
ON THE WAY: MOTIVE 4.10 GEARS WITH POSI.
IN THE FUTURE: ROUSH HOOD SCOOP. ROUSH QUARTER WINDOW LOUVERS. MGP CALIPER COVERS.
Personally, if my car looked alright, I would go performance until it shakes the paint off. Then i have an excuse to go visual.

Unless you have damage to the car that needs repair, go with performance. Leave the bling bling aisle at auto zone, advance, O Riley, etc. to the ricers.

I went for the visual/cosmetic mods first then the performance mods, the only thing I would change now that I know it is getting a CAI/custom tune first Good luck with your decision !

I have to agree with Rockin' on this one. I would have gone with the CAI/tune first if I had to go back and do it over again. I got "lucky" and hit a deer that inevitably funded all of my exterior mods to this point. I am actually stuck in the same predicament as you regarding finishing off my exterior or giving the exhaust/rear end some attention from my bank account.
Would everyone here recommend the 4.10s over the 3.73s? I have heard differing opinions in prior threads, but I think with automatics, the 4.10s are the way to go. Either way, whichever comes first, you know you'll be happy with your 'Stang!

fact of the matter is your driving a v6 unless you got 6 grand to spend, get your CAI and tune and exhaust then go all cosmetic

I Am Allways Weary of Going With Visual Stuff....Sure It Looks good But I Am Sure The Cops Will Notice ......Then The Import And Chevy Guy Will Too....Then What What Do You Do When A Turbo Civic Wants To Line Up With You.....and If YOu Lose Then Who Will Be The One Really Lookn Good.....Ever notice All The Really Fast cars Dont Really Have Much Visual Done.

You would actually spend $900 on your 7.5 rear end?
What's really important to you? To me, I'd do a few visuals and take my time figuring out the performance end...

450 for install? who quoted you that? dallas mustang charges a little under 250 and every other shop i called wanted 300. just bring them the gears, t-lok, gear oil, and pinion bearing.

4.10's are like little magical pieces of metal that god blessed us with because he truly loves us. i wouldn't trade them for anything. even if i had f/i or a manual.
well yes because it's something you can do yourself. it comes already assembled with nothing but a few things to bolt up. after shipping though you're looking at 1100. i payed a grand total of 700 for everything. the extra 400 wasn't expendable for me at the time.
